Community History

After decades of dreaming and planning, development of the beautiful Monte Sereno property began in 2004. The next five years were a grand adventure for the community, as 153 home sites were developed in three phases. The demand was remarkable: by 2008, all the lots were sold and the community was bustling with custom home development and community activity.

In the following years, Monte Sereno grew into a vibrant community and blossomed. Today, 60 custom homes built by Santa Fe’s finest builders dot the Monte Sereno landscape in architectural harmony. To this day, Monte Sereno remains the most desirable residential community in Santa Fe.

But the story of the Monte Sereno community is still being told. For the past 18 months, 21 Club Holdings and its principals have been planning for the future. 300 acres of beautiful, undeveloped land remain, which are now zoned for 100 additional single-family estate lots, 55 Cluster “lifestyle” homes, as well as a resort hotel and spa.

The development team has just broken ground on Monte Sereno’s new active lifestyle community called The Compound at Monte Sereno. The first phase of this development will be 15 active lifestyle homes, which will be ready for occupancy in early June 2018.

Like Santa Fe, the history of Monte Sereno is as rich colorful as its sunsets; and, like Santa Fe, its future is as bright as the New Mexico sun.
